WOW! We just got home from a short trip to So Cal in honor of THIS gorgeous Mommy-to-be:
It was full of:
Caffeine
The Ocean {Huntington Beach, to be exact}
Oohing & Aahing over baby-to-be cuteness
Clobbering our dinner
Oh, and did I mention my not-so-secret lover, the Ocean??
Now it is back to reality...laundry, grocery shopping & work.
But all I need to do is look at pictures of the ocean and my spirits lift!
***What place in nature brings you peace?***
I just had crab legs tonight and they were spectacular. I really need to add them to my meal rotation more often!
ReplyDeleteMy wknd involved lots of coffee but not enough beach.....since I'm in CO. I love the mountains more than anything but grew up 10 mins from the beach and miss it every now and then.
I LOVE crab legs! We have learned to make them on our BBQ side burner outside or the house smells fishy for days!
DeleteI've never really spent too much time in the mountains, but I am sure I would love it!
i LOVE the ocean. we used to go visit my aunt in maine every single summer and spend a week at the beach. can never get enough of it!
ReplyDeleteWhat great memories those summers must be! I always remember my parents taking me to the beach when I was little. :)
DeleteOh my goodness! Every one of those pictures is absolutely gorgeous! LOVE LOVE LOVE!! That looks like sure a good time! I love the beach so much. I could live there.
ReplyDeleteThank you!! I took so many pictures, it was hard to decide which to use! Our dream is to live by the beach one day. :)
DeleteI spent most of my childhood at Huntington Beach, I have so many fun memories!!

Beautiful! The ocean is definitely where I go for peace & relaxation...
ReplyDeleteThat crab looks amazing!!!! My kind of meal!:) Love the pics!
ReplyDeleteI LOVE Southern California! I've only been a few times for work and Chris and I have been thinking about taking a little vacation there in the fall. As for nature and feeling relaxed, I have a love hate relationship with the ocean. Looking at it brings me peace - but when I'm swimming I have a hard time not thinking of a hungry shark circling my legs! :)
ReplyDeleteGreat blog I eenjoyed reading
